Pricing for builders

Free for customers, always. A builder pays once for a listing: Verified or Featured. There is no subscription and no charge per enquiry.

Already on the site? A listing imported from the register stays up as a plain entry. Claiming it means choosing one of these two plans. You see the price before you pay, you pay once at checkout, and fees are non-refundable.

Verified listing

£19.99 paid once

Paid once. No renewal, no subscription. Non-refundable.

  • Verified badge and register details on the profile
  • Services with prices, a description, up to 3 photos and opening hours
  • A Message on WhatsApp button on your profile, if you add a business mobile
  • Enquiries straight to your inbox
  • Your logo on the homepage map when your reviews earn your firm one of its city pins

Featured listing

£39.99 paid once

Paid once. Everything in Verified, plus a share of the featured slot. Non-refundable.

  • Everything in the verified listing
  • A labelled Featured slot above the results for your town and services. If more than three firms in a town are Featured, the three slots are shared in turn, changing each day; on other days your listing stays in the ranked list at the place your reviews earn
  • A share of the labelled Featured pins on the homepage map, if your town is on the map: up to four of the eight pins, shared in turn each day among Featured listings, so how often yours shows depends on how many there are
  • A link to your website from your profile, marked as a paid link as Google requires

What paying does not buy

Your business is probably already listed. Find and claim your listing, then choose a plan. Questions about a payment: email listings@mylocalbuilders.uk.

What does a listing cost a builder?

A verified listing costs £19.99 and a featured listing costs £39.99. Each is a single payment for one listing. There is no monthly fee and no charge per enquiry, and we never take the card again. Fees are non-refundable once the payment has gone through, so read the fees terms before you pay.

If your firm is already on the site and you do nothing, the listing stays up as a plain entry while your company is active at Companies House. Claiming it means choosing Verified or Featured and paying once; you see the price before you pay, and fees are non-refundable.

What do you get for a verified listing?

A verified listing turns a bare register entry into a full profile. You can list every service you offer, publish a fee table and add photos and opening hours. Enquiries from homeowners go straight to your inbox, and your logo appears on the homepage map when your reviews earn your firm one of its city pins. The verified badge tells homeowners you have proved you run the business.

Featured adds a share of a labelled slot above the results for your city and your services (shared in turn, day by day, when more than three firms in a town are Featured; on other days your listing stays in the ranked list where your reviews place it), plus a standard link from your profile to your own website. It suits a firm that wants to be seen first by homeowners searching for its main jobs. It does not change the ranked list below that slot, which is ordered by verified review score over the last twelve months and then distance, the same for every builder.

How is this different from paying for leads?

You are paying for a listing, not for leads. A homeowner who contacts you chose your firm from the list, and the enquiry goes to you and to no other builder; we keep a copy, as our privacy policy explains. You reply to the homeowner directly, and we do not take a cut of the job.

How do you claim your listing?

  1. Log in with your email address (we send a sign-in link, no password), then find your firm on the claim page using your TrustMark licence number or your Companies House company number.
  2. Enter the code we email to you. We then check your claim straight away: you need to be logged in with the email address shown on your listing, or one at the website on your listing. If we have already sent your company our privacy notice, its code does the same job.
  3. Choose verified or featured and pay once. You pay only after the check passes.

The check means nobody else can claim your business. If your firm is not on the site yet, you can add your business: we check Companies House straight away, and your name must match one of the company's current directors or officers.

Pricing: questions builders ask

Is there a monthly fee to be listed?

No. A verified listing is £19.99 and a featured listing is £39.99, each paid once. Nothing renews and the card is never charged again.

Can I move from Verified to Featured later?

Yes. From your listing's pay page you pay only the difference, £20.00, once. Paying never changes where you rank in the list.

Do builders pay per lead or per enquiry?

No. An enquiry goes to the builder the homeowner chose and to no other builder, and there is no charge for it, however many you receive.

Can paying improve my position in the results?

No. The ranked list is ordered by verified reviews from the last twelve months, then distance. Featured adds a share of a separate, labelled slot above the list and leaves the list itself unchanged.

Can I get a refund?

Fees are non-refundable once the payment has gone through. If you think a payment was taken in error, contact us first and we will look into it within five working days.

What happens to my listing if my company is dissolved?

A listing stays up while the company is active at Companies House. Once the register sync finds it dissolved or closed, we take the listing down, and the fee is not refunded in that case.
